Hi my name is Graham. I am a primary school teacher, who enjoys most sports, especially football.
I completed my degree from the Open University, along side my full time job, in order to become a primary school teacher.
I am enthusiastic about teaching and the development of children both inside and outside the classroom.
Aswell as a primary school class teacher (year 2), I also have a passion for football. As well as playing myself, I coach football on Saturday mornings, coaching children age 2 - 6 years.
I taught PE in a primary school for two years, teaching the PE curriculum across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. During this time I also spent significant periods assisting the teacher in the classroom. I found this both enjoyable and rewarding.
After competing my degree, and having gained 2 years of valuable experience working with children I progressed onto a teacher training course in 2014-15.
During my training year I worked as the class teacher in year 3, as well as spending time teaching in various other year groups.
Since then, I have worked as a class teacher in year 2 for three years and am currently the class teacher at the same school, in Grays, as a year 3 class teacher.
I have found in my years of teaching, that a friendly and relaxed approach has the most productive outcome for both the learner and the tutor.
I am enthusiastic and have a passion for education and teaching as a whole. I believe in adapting the tutoring style and tailoring the tutoring to the child's best learning strategy. I can explain and clarify methods quickly and effectively, and break down problems in order to scaffold the child's learning.
