Information About Graham - Northampton tutor - (16 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Graham:
I am a fully qualified English teacher and am available to tutor English language and literature up to and including university level. I am very interested in and enthusiastic about these subjects, yet I understand that not all students share this interest and can be somewhat apathetic. Thus, my teaching experience enables me to improve the grades of the engaged and disengaged learner alike.
I would describe myself as very well qualified - the university at which I studied for my undergraduate degree is ranked as 10th out of 114 in The Guardian university league tables and is in the Russell Group.
I have offered tutoring services in the past both to pupils that have been excluded from mainstream education and to those who just needed some extra support to boost their grades.
I have taught in a variey of state schools each with very different sets of students.
I presently teach English at Keystage 3, 4 and 5.
I am currently teaching at a large secondary school in Northampton.
I have (and am happy to do so now) proof-read dissertations/essays and provided copyediting and editorial services to students and professional organisations alike.
My approach to tutoring is predicated on the indivudual tutee in question. All tutees are different and will have varying learning needs. However, in general terms I would describe myself as:

He spent some time in or first lesson trying to pinpoint our weaknesses and set us homework to do for the following week every week. Graham has such an impact on my brother that as we left the second lesson; he commented "I think I've learnt more in an hour than I have done in three years at school." It just really sums up the quality of Graham's teaching; he really knows what he is talking about and is passionate about the subject in which he specialises **Web Address Removed** and my brother went to Graham to achieve a C in our qualifications. I got an A in my exam that Graham helped with and my brother achieving a C which was what he needed.
Can't really thank Graham enough!
