My tutoring style is adaptive to each individual student, paying close attention how they learn and absorb information. The subjects I teach I have great passion for and read extensively around, therefore, I am constantly up to date with the latest academic works of these given topics. Aside from my ability and knowledge, I am very easy going and approachable person, this is reflected in the way that I teach as I always try to make even the dullest topics interesting and fun.
I have previously taught both A-Level Philosophy and Ethics and Sociology from the exam boards OCR and AQA. I have also tutored undergraduates in specifically the Philosophy of language and Political Philosophy. All my students have attained high grades upon examination.
I believe that it is important to understand and have the ability to interpret the material before you can apply it to an essay question successfully. Therefore, my approach to tutoring is to ensure a high level of understanding of the material, providing my student with a firm and confident basis on how to approach the exam. Once this has been achieved I then prepare my students to successfully complete the exam, making sure they are applying their knowledge to the assessment objectives, allowing them to achieve the highest grade possible.
Please note: Those who do not wish to have 121 tutoring but want an essay reviewed and/or marked before submission are welcome to message me.
