Music Lessons in Glasgow

I have a BMus Honors degree in music performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, specialising in violin and viola. I am a first study violinist but also love playing and teaching the viola. I am an outgoing, active person who enjoys my work and always strive to give the best I possibly can.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught privately for 5 years and in schools for nearly 3. I also work at a junior and senior string orchestra in Inverclyde which I have done for 6 years. I love individual and group teaching and feel confident in doing both. My private tuition ranges from beginner level right up to Advanced Higher exam level. I am also happy to give lessons to anyone who just wishes to use the violin or viola as a hobby or pastime. I am an encouraging and lively teacher who strives to get the best from my pupils and to ensure they have fun whilst learning.

Tutoring Approach

I am a friendly, encouraging tutor who only wants the best for my pupils so they reach the peak of their potential. I try to cater for each pupil individually and give them criteria best suited to their development as a player. I also encourage them to join groups outside of my teaching, as this helps them develop their musical knowledge further.
