My passion for teaching stems from my enthusiasm of sharing my experiences and knowledge with others, and to enlighten my students with the possible opportunities surrounding them.
During my studies, I spent some time in both France and Spain and am a fluent speaker of both languages as well as being a native English speaker.
I am a qualified French and Spanish teacher and currently working in HE. I spent 10 years in secondary education, 5 of which I was Head of Modern Foreign Languages. I had been continuously graded as 'outstanding' on all lesson observations in the last 6 years.
I have a wide range of teaching skills and approaches which have made my students a success in their language proficiency as I place great importance on grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in my teaching.
My in-depth understanding of the exam criteria for both AQA and Edexcel means I understand how to help students pass a GCSE/A Level exam since I have also been an AQA Examiner for the last 5 years.
I use a range of teaching and learning methods to cater for all learning styles and abilities, having taught classes with mixed abilities. My approach to tutoring is acting upon my students needs and understanding the difficulties that are faced by creating a calm environment, having a patient manner and making the lessons enjoyable.
