I'm highly experienced in teaching A-Level English Language with over 18 years of doing so. I'm fully familiar with the linguistic frameworks of grammar, pragmatics, discourse, lexis, semantics, orthography and graphology. I can help your child with both course content and course work, by explaining this vast subject in a highly accessible and clear manner, demystifying the mark scheme, honing their exam technique and refining their linguistic analysis. Furthermore, I can help you/your daughter or son with the trickier aspects of the course such as the study of discourses and completion of the NEA language investigation. I've helped numerous students over many, many years to gain the grades they require to attain a place at university.

I work as a Senior Examiner leading a team of GCSE markers and also have experience of marking A-level English Language, KS2 SATS and English Language papers for speakers of other languages. I have 10 years' experience of mentoring student teachers. I offer a highly professional service and secure subject knowledge due to my many years experience as an English Teacher and Private Tutor.
