I am a married English woman and I adore languages. I am fortunate enough to have found an area of work that i consider a hobby and i love to see students develop and thrive.
I have been tutoring Spanish on a freelance basis for nine years and French for the last three. Prior to that i worked for the council in Adult Education tutoring Spanish for three years. I have worked abroad in Spain and spent considerable time in France. Due to the fact that i freelance my clientele has ranged from students that are ten right up to 70 years old which has given me the opportunity to sculpt my lessons around individual needs whether for business, pleasure and holidays or academia. I have years nine of experience in both GCSE and A level tutoring in Spanish and three years in GCSE French. I also regularly check for updates and training withe main exam boards AQA and OCR.
I am passionate about languages and feel they are an important part of our experience when we travel. My own language journey started at school and it has continued since then.I love the diversity of students i receive due to the fact that i freelance. Languages are all about communication and rapport and establishing that with students is key in ensuring success and enjoyment and thus an ability to talk openly about individual needs and requirements. I always ensure students feel they can approach me with any question re their learning and hopefully this puts them at ease.
