I have been a professional tutor for the past eight years, throughout my undergraduate and masters degrees, and now as a mathematics PhD student at Oxford University. I hold a first class BSc and distinction MSc in Mathematics. I have won national awards as an early career researcher in mathematics, for presenting and explaining my research to a high standard. I have the ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
My tutoring experience varies enormously as I have worked with both gifted and talented and under-achieving students who need extra support. I am experienced in tutoring mathematics to students of a young age in primary school up to degree level. Alongside my PhD studies and private tutoring, I have worked as a teaching assistant for undergraduate and masters level maths courses at Oxford University. I also have experience in marking the MAT mathematics admissions tests for Oxford University.
I am keen to instil a genuine interest in mathematics amongst my tutees and aim to keep sessions interactive and exciting! I am very passionate about mathematics and I have a deep understanding of the subject.
