I enjoy teaching primary aged children because I make their learning fun, meaningful and memorable. Lots of my colleagues and clients recommend me because I'm friendly, approachable and really make a difference. As a specialist teacher for Wellbeing I also support any anxieties, self-esteem issues and support growth mindsets for today's challenges faced at primary school. I have always believed a happy child makes more progress, so I combine this with my teaching for English and Maths. Or I can also teach Wellbeing separately. I'm still teaching in primary schools and run my own Wellbeing business, so am always up to speed with our ever changing expectations and National Curriculum.

Tutoring Experience

I have had the privilege of teaching for 20 years in rural and city primary schools. I have taught every year group from reception to year 6, with most of my experience in upper key stage 2. Having been a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Maths and Wellbeing Lead, I understand the current high expectations of attainment in English and Maths for children to aspire to. Teaching children to 'close the gaps' or 'make marginal gains' or 'at greater depth/ Mastery' has been my focus and makes a difference to help children to make more progress. I have lots of experience with teaching children with dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, ODD and ASD and children have responded in a more positive way towards their learning because I tailor my teaching to suit them individually.

Tutoring Approach

I value the individual child and use a bespoke and focused approach on meeting their interests and needs. I understand how hard learning can be with today's pressures, expectations and challenges in the classroom. Therefore, I believe in supplying the best professional and personal approach to meet the individual needs for your child, but also to support the family too.
