I'm a theoretical physics student and have just finished my Masters degree.
I have a passion for physics because it explains the world around me and why things are the way they are. This passion extends to mathematics as it is "the language" of physics, without maths we cannot explain why things behave the way they do.
I am looking to hopefully share my passion and help people achieve their potential in physics and maths.
For the past year at university I have been a PAL (peer assisted learning) Mentor which involves spending 1 hour each week with first year students. These students would ask for help with any physics or maths questions that they were having problems with. Close to exam periods we would go through past papers and any other questions that would be relevant for helping them do the best they can in their exams.
Before jumping in to exam style questions I would like to first identify any problematic areas and go back to basics so that they are able to develop a understanding of the methods that need to be used.
When I am confident any question which was identified as problematic can be answered, exam style questions will be attempted and if any more problems arise then we will spend time focusing on difficult areas.
