I am a space science PhD research student with a strong academic background, hundreds of hours of tutoring experience and an aptitude and enthusiasm for sharing my knowledge of physics and maths. I hold both a Master's in 'Space Science and Engineering' and a BSc in Physics. I offer tutoring in maths and physics for GCSE and A level students, and provide training for maths and physics entry exams. I am a friendly and relaxed person who enjoys communicating my passion and knowledge in physics and maths to others.
I have more than three years' experience tutoring both GCSE and A level students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles. I have tutored students from the beginning to the conclusion of their courses, and have also provided intensive exam preparation, and have helped many students to exceed their predicted grades, and gain admission to their desired colleges and universities.
From my own academic career, I have a lot of experience communicating challenging scientific concepts to varied audiences via different methods, and I like to use a clear and steady approach. I'm keen to apply my knowledge and experience in order to help students maximise their achievements and overcome any difficulties they may have in maths and physics, so that they can both enjoy and excel at their studies.
Drawing from my personal experience as a student, I like to take a steady and clear approach to tutoring, and encourage an environment in which the student feels they can tailor the tutoring to suit them. I realise that different approaches to explaining concepts suit different people, and I like to adapt my method of tutoring to fit each individual student. I learn best when I find something interesting, and I have found others do too, so I always try to keep my tutoring interesting, engaging and accessible. I'm always willing to build and adapt my method of tutoring around the tutee's specific needs and requests in order to provide a tutoring experience that is tailored to the student.
