My name is George, and I have been tutoring for 4 years alongside my various studies and creative endeavours. I Studied French at University College London, and then moved to Paris and worked in Advertising before embarking on a two year theatre course. I am now writing and performing as an actor and comedian, while simultaneously tutoring.
While I was doing my A-levels I was helping family friends with their exam preparation. I then started tutoring In England through an agency, where I taught English ( Language and Literature) and French. When I moved to Paris I continued to tutor English, as a Foreign Language, to adults and children.
Using my theatrical background, my approach to teaching both languages and literature concentrates on interaction; I believe in active participation, adopting exercise such as role plays amongst others. However, I also believe that it is important to monitor progression, to recap regularly, and to provide a variety of activities to keep it fresh for the student. Most crucially, I believe in finding an approach that suits the individual and that engages with their imagination.
