Hi, I am George, an economics graduate from the University of Cambridge and now a professional economist at one of the biggest investment banks in the City of London. I specialise in A-level Economics. I completed my A-levels several years ago and achieved an A* in all five subjects with above 93% in all exams. My strength as a tutor is bringing a much greater depth and breath of knowledge which encourages students to think more deeply about economic problems and give them the edge in exams. I have personally interviewed world-class economists including Nobel Prize Winners. I am very friendly and eager to meet new students. Tutoring Experience

I have tutored many students so far and you are free to read the feedback below! I think my strength is giving clear explanations. I make all of my own resources and I try to make them as focused as possible. I have extensive experience presenting and public speaking in my capacity as one of the more 'public-facing positions' in an investment bank. Because of this commitment I can only tutor on weekends.

Tutoring Approach

I have tutored student of all abilities and I have found that just a few lessons can plug some very significant gaps. I set ambitious targets for my students but I have confidence my clear explanations can deliver quick results.

Having spent several years studying all the subjects I teach, I bring an efficient teaching style which teaches the techniques I have found most useful. I study the specifications extensively so I know exactly what the exam board needs. Unlike other teachers and tutors I have done the exams relatively recently so I am more prepared about the new style of exam questions.

I make sure I assess carefully each students ability so that I target my teaching at a suitable level. I work at a pace suitable for my students, but aim to run an intensive programme to achieve results quickly. For those students who are looking for it I can discuss topics beyond the specification and help with further reading.
