Ged had started as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant at the Aconbury Centre in Hereford before moving on to work as a Head of Physical Education at the Priory Centre based in Leominster, a Pupil Referral Unit for young adults (14-16) based in Herefordshire, at the time he was taken on based on his sport science and therapy qualifications but as he did not have his PGCE he was classed as an unqualified teacher. Over the past two years Ged had decided to take the giant step of going to university and gain the primary adult teaching qualification of Preparing to Teach in the Learning Sector, this he managed to achieve in February 2009, this now means that he can tutor/teach within any publically funded college and private tutor Post 16 students and adult learners, he has also achieved the Foundations of Learning and Teaching module which was gained in June 2009.
Ged's approach to tutoring is a very simple and straightforward method which produces fast, effective results.
One of his tried and tested methods is that of going over the syllabus slowly but methodically, thus ensuring the learner gains more knowledge and retaining muscle memory in the process.
