I am a philosophy graduate who has been teaching GCSE and A levels for 17 years. I am cheerful, approachable and have previous experience of tutoring religious studies, psychology and philosophy. I have taught students with SEN and those for whom English is an additional language.
I have been teaching for 17 years, 11 of which I have been the HOD covering religious studies, philosophy and psychology all of which I have taught successfully at A level. I have extensive knowledge relating to the curriculum regarding all 3 subjects and have set up SOW's for each of them. I am highly motivated and work well using my own initiative.
I have a relaxed and approachable attitude, as the subjects that I tutor rely on a comfortable interaction which allows discussions and debates to occur freely. I tend to encourage students to express thier opinions and support these with relevant examples which is a pre-requisite in answering examination questions. I believe this approach also builds individual confidence and encourages independent learning.
