This is how 4 referees rated Gail:
I specialise in Cello (Classical), Singing (both Classical & Music Theatre), and Music Theory for beginners to those wanting to take ABRSM examinations up to and including Grade 5.
I offer a fantastic musical experience whether you are a beginner or have played/sung for some time. I teach both children and adults.
I engage in Music making whilst ensuring you are learning notation, sight reading, aural and theory.
My lessons provide a sound basis in music, learning and performance; whilst building your confidence in your music ability.
I teach from my home in Leicester and a studio flat in Bilton, Rugby. I also teach in two schools in Warwickshire; Bilton C of E Junior School & Dassett Primary School; and in a school in Leicester-Overdale Junior School.
Gail commenced teaching, inspiring others & sharing her passion for Singing, Cello and Music Theory as a Private tutor since September 2013.
Organised repertoire & staging of Christmas Carol Service, and conducted 25 children aged 5 to 10 years, with excellent feedback….“I worked with Gail on a carol service with the local school, and the improvement in the children’s singing from one year to the next was amazing” Emma Welford (Parent at Dassett Primary School).
Teaching children with learning difficulties help find their passion in music, gain their confidence in their ability, who often struggle in other areas of academia & school life.
Helping Children to find their focus & confidence through music, particularly singing.
Support children & adults who fear being on stage to be able to perform and enjoy the experience of singing/playing cello on stage.
Gail is an inspirational teacher who motivates pupils to learn music through both Classical and modern approaches.
Gail uses an individual approach to her teaching and establishes relationships with her pupils through helping them to build their confidence and belief in their musical ability. An example being where Gail encouraged and enabled one pupil, within six months, to sit her theory grade 2 examination and pass with room to spare; a paper that was failed once in the past (under a previous tutor).
Gail pursued a career in humanitarian work after her schooling, where she developed skills in taking initiative in extreme contexts; encouraging others experiencing great hardships; & inspiring & motivating others in their work. Through her Charity sector career Gail always had a passion for music & had the opportunity in Brazil to use music to help teach English to children aged 5 to 13 years from poor socioeconomic backgrounds, leading them to perform English Songs at the end of her placement.
This experience stayed with Gail and along with her Career in the Charity Sector where she gained relationship building, training & managing skills.
