This is how 2 referees rated Fraser:
When I left school, I went on to make historical stringed instruments at West Dean College, which I graduated in July. However, I miss maths. The beauty of maths I believe is that no matter how hard a problem may be, once the answer is reached and the proof is made, the answer is indisputable. Nothing else in life is so clearly cut, and this gives me great pleasure. I do not have a degree in maths, nor formal teacher training. I want to teach maths because I enjoy it. I hope that I can get other kids to enjoy it too, because enjoyment is key to success.
Whilst not "trained", I have almost 2 years experience teaching students and I'm so proud of the results they've achieved. They all responded well to me pushing them for grades that they never considered possible, and in most cases achieved them.
I firmly believe that inspiring someone to enjoy a subject is the best way to teach. As such, I like to keep things fun and light hearted. I can help with homework, or subject areas that are a struggle, but if the lessons aren't fun, I'm letting myself and you down.
Getting a solution to a problem is useless if the process is not understood.
My priority, without doubt, is to get your child to enjoy the challenges and beauty of maths first and foremost, after this exam questions will be exciting, not arduous. Being young myself I can relate to kids, bringing humour to the table.
