I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Manchester and would love to share my knowledge and passion for physics and mathematics with others.
I can help students all the way up to A-levels.
I like to break down problems to a simpler level so students who are struggling can really understand what is going on. In case they still don't mange, I guide them step by step to the solution so that they learn through this process and can apply this method to new problems. I always used to be the one helping my friends in class, back in school.
I can also give a few tips and tricks on exam technique and revision methods for numerical and formulae based subjects, where simply learning everything by heart is not possible.
I would make a great tutor as I am enthusiastic about my subject and the joy of learning it. This is a key point when delivering information to the student, as it is hard to learn a subject if you don't feel it could be useful to you.
Unfortunately I have no official tutoring qualifications but I have passed my A-levels with flying colours, the subjects i took were: Italian, Physics Pre-U, Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Since I have took these exams very recently, I am therefore very knowledgeable of the syllabuses, formulas and techniques one needs to know to excel in these exams.
During a normal tutor session, I have the student show me the problematics they have had in the past paper I have assigned them. Then we go through these and I help them make some detailed study notes so they don't get stuck on the same question in future. Ultimately this note making process will help the memorisation of formulas and mathematical approaches they will need in the exam.
