I have been teaching languages at different levels since the time I was still in Italy, my country of origin. I have been in Scotland since 1991 and here I gained my BA Degree in Spanish and Italian. I teach college and university students, primary and secondary school children, business people and private individuals. I also work as a free-lance interpreter and translator in both Italian and Spanish; in both fields I have a long experience.
I have been working as a private language teacher since 1990's tutoring students at different levels (secondary school, primary children, university, adult, business). I have worked as an Italian Grammar support lecturer at Strathclyde University as well as proof-reader of essays and dissertations. I am also an experienced Italian Diction teacher for opera students and for the Falkirk Festival Chorus.
My lessons have always been tailored to the student's requirement: strict curricula, or technical and commercial terminology, do not have the same effect on younger or leisure students, so I have to adopt a light-hearted and recreational method so that the student, no matter of what age, has a greater possibility of retaining what is taught. On the other hand, a more structured approach is generally required and welcome by students and professionals, especially because they have to adhere to a curriculum or specific programme..
