This is how 3 referees rated Fiona:
Encouraging, warm teacher who works hard. Loves teaching and in contact with students from 22 years ago. Love exercise particularly running, cycling and HITT gym classes. Have two son's taking A-levels, one taking psychology and a daughter lower down at secondary school.
Been teaching A-level Psychology for 22 years which I love. Love teaching keen, enthusiastic and optimistic A-level students. Run the department at the school I work in. Have mentored lots of trainee teachers which have kept me on my toes. Have had excellent results at school including first A* with new linear A-levels. Prieviously marked AS papers for OCR exam board which has been invaluable as know the mark scheme inside out. Over the last fifteen years have tutored different students outside of school. One student I taught the whole A2 course from scratch she got a C grade. Other students have supported through retakes. This year supported student both in AS and A2. OCR is the board I teach, though might consider helping for part of the AQA course which I am familiar with.
Student led and student friendly. My goal is to encourage student so that they believe that they can do it and to cover all the syllabus. Focus also on exam technique by making sure student really understands the mark scheme and what is demanded of them. Expect student to work outside of lessons, by practising exam questions and papers.
