Maths and Computer Studies / I.T. Tutoring in Loughborough

I am a fully qualified teacher who has been tutoring individuals successfully for a few years now. My advanced level skills and training enable me to make life more interesting. Whether editing films, creating artwork, designing databases, installing a new bathroom or going on a diving trip, my plumbing business, home and leisure life all benefit from the jobs that I take on. Tutoring is something I greatly enjoy doing due to the people I meet and the rewarding opportunities I get to encourage and support them effectively.
My hobbies include kite flying, puppeteering, scuba diving and video editing. I am an active Christian church member who spent 7 years serving as a Loughborough Street Pastor.

Tutoring Approach

I am a careful listener who pays attention to the feelings of students. I take students on a journey of discovery of the skills that will enable more skills to develop. I always seek to connect any learning to the real world and I have sufficient experience of the real world to enable students to see genuine applications. I also know how to think like an examiner and how to guide students to give relevant information to gain the marks that an exam course is seeking to give. I give careful feedback that can show a student how much progress they are making in their learning habits, attitude and achievements.

I am also able to teach all the skills needed for the QTS Numeracy and ICT tests, building the confidence of those who are entering the teaching profession.
