Hello everyone, I am a native Italian tutor from Venice. I have a Master's degree in International Affairs and I have a keen interest in languages and multiculturality, which brought me to travel and live in several European countries before landing here in Bristol, UK.

I can speak English, French, Spanish and Italian (my native language), and in the last 8 years I have lived in 4 different countries, where I have been teaching to both teenagers and adults. I enjoy the satisfaction in seeing real progress in my students and I share with them the proudness of getting to the next level, be it being able to order dinner at the restaurant, or writing a two-page essay.

Tutoring Experience

2009 - 2017 I have been teaching Italian to for the last 8 years, mostly to adult and casual learners, but also teenagers and University students preparing for language exams. I have also undertaken proof-reading activities and translations.
Having worked in banking for the past 4 years, both here and in Italy, I have an excellent knowledge of "business Italian" and I can help with CV translations and preparation for interviews.

2005 - 2008 I gave piano lessons to children and adults for 4 years while studying at University. I sadly had to leave all my students when I moved to Spain.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is very friendly and flexible to suit the student's needs, but at the same time professional and methodical (flexibility doesn't exclude having a learning method!).
I believe the exercises should be tailored to meet the student's preferences and goals, such as improving their conversation skills or expanding their vocabulary, without loosing focus on the importance of grammatical structures and syntax.

When preparing my lessons I am a proactive and creative. I believe that engaging and interactive activities are the best way to improve language skills and learn grammar rules, as they develop a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn more in the students.
