Personal Description:

I am a patient, approachable and professional individual. I love teaching and feel that as a tutor I am able to support tutees to achieve their aspirations at a pace that is suitable for them. I am an exceptional teacher in many ways and I can particularly cater for students with specific needs such as autism and EAL as well as the very able including gifted and talented students. I am available to tutor in person as well as through mediums such as Skype.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a secondary school teacher, my specialisms are History, Politics and Law. I also teach Sociology and RE at GCSE and A level. I have been teaching for over 11 years. I am also an associate examiner for Edexcel marking History and Government and Politics papers. My lessons are consistently graded as 'good' or 'outstanding' in inspections. I have a range of experience having also worked in the private sector. I have the privilege of having worked with a diverse range of students in terms of both abilities and needs. As a tutor I tailor tutorials to the individual needs of the tutee and have a proven record of helping tutees reach their full potential by identifying their strengths and developing their areas of need.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring offers students one-to-one, specific and tailored support to cater for individual needs. I have personally experienced the benefits of additional tutoring as a student myself and found that the added support enhanced my educational experiences and attainment. Many of my tutees have had very positive experiences, often bridging the gap that school alone cannot always cover. I am patient and resourceful in personalising support materials to maximise time and effort and offer value for money in terms of tuition provided.
