Online Maths Lessons

I completed my GCSEs at the Royal school, Wolverhampton. I have seven GCSEs including maths and English. I also attended my A-levels at the school. I have studied maths, further maths and chemistry. Although I have a confirmed place at king's college London to study my undergraduate mathematics degree, I have decided it was better for me to take a gap year.I believe what encouraged me to pursue mathematics was the obsession I had with mathematics as early as year 4. My teachers used to handout 12 by 12 multiplication tables to memorise and compete as to who memorises the most. I had memorised it within a week. The introduction of various theorems and formulas as I went on to learn maths at a higher level captivated me. I have helped out Some GCSE students that I shared boarding house with, with their maths revision for their mock exams and preparations for their GCSE. As a student who has experienced sleepless nights and stress of exams, it really empowered me when the boys told me they were relieved and that they would want me to set a hour of my day to help them revise. I have also been on a maths trip to Wolverhampton University where we had various seminars and was given mathematical challenges that we had to carry out. I remember I was introduced to Euler’s formula, at the time I was confused but was also eager to learn more. I researched about it and found out its thought in further maths. This has helped me in deciding to pursue mathematics at a higher level.
The A level subjects I took, I feel complement what I want to study hopefully in the near future, providing me with knowledge and transferable skills. Mathematics has improved my reasoning and problem-solving abilities, alongside further mathematics which has allowed me to gain a completely different skill in terms of analytical thinking process and attention to detail when solving equations that seem easy yet so challenging. I have taken a gap year so I can save up for my university fees and also gain some work experience. As a young person, getting in the real world and making money and dealing with bills could sway some of their target. Therefore, I don't want to get lost in the job world and forget why I have decided to take a gap year in the first place. And that's why I have made the decision to become a private tutor and help peope/students succeed in and admire maths same way I do.

Tutoring Approach

First of all, I like getting to know the level of my student or how easy or challenging they find maths.
In order to find this out I do a 1-2 hours free study session. This session I believe will give me and my potential students the ability to decide if they want to carry on with me as their potential tutor.
