This is how 2 referees rated Emma:
Hello, I'm Emma and I'm 27 years old. I've been qualified as a teacher since 2014 and I currently work at a sixth form at a secondary school in Gateshead. In my spare time I enjoy walking the dogs, swimming, baking and planning elaborate holidays that I'll never be able to afford. I love live music and travelling.
I have been teaching A Level Psychology (AQA Specification) for two years and have experience of working in both secondary school sixth forms and a sixth form college. I have taught a large number of students with differing ability levels. In 2015/16 I have taught the new linear AS Level and Year 1 of the A Level, and from September 2016 I will be teaching the 2nd year of the A Level - which is a brand new course.
For the year 13 topics, I have experience of teaching Relationships, Eating Behaviour, Gender, Addiction and Schizophrenia. I will be teaching Forensic Psychology from September too.
My approach to tutoring is to be as personalised as possible, depending on the student's needs. I use a lot of discussion in my lessons at school, as well as regular assessment and exam practice. These strategies will be beneficial in tutoring sessions too. Detailed feedback from assessments will be given regularly and we will work together to monitor your progress and ensure that you are achieving or even exceeding your potential.
