Emma

I am a graduate from the University of Manchester with a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics and from the Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Computer Science with Applicable Maths.
I am a bubbly outgoing person and try to make learning fun

Tutoring Experience

I took early retirement from full time teaching this year to concentrate on my tutoring. Previously I worked at Blackburn Central High and Whitworth High School and previously taught functional skills IT to level 1 and 2.
This year I achieved 100% pass rate A*-C at my school in maths and further maths.
I can teach SATS, 11+, GCSE, A-Level, Engineering maths, Functional Skills and numeracy for teacher training.
I have 3 years experience in the Public Sector working with young people and adults tackling crime and disorder through engagement and educational projects.
I have previously tutored children for the past six years tutoring in excess of 20 students and can provide references if required

Tutoring Approach

I treat each child as an individual and relish the challenge of helping each boy or girl achieve their targets. I have an excellent rapport with children and all those I teach feel that I am very approachable, easy to talk to, kind and caring. I try to make learning fun.
I can provide one off sessions to tackle problem areas or intense revision help.
