I am a full time teacher in Northamptonshire teaching Geography and have taught some History and Ethics and Philosophy in the past.
Travelling is a passion of mine, I have visited a wide range of countries and have also taught in Ghana. I tend to use a lot of my personal experiences overseas to bring the classroom alive.
I have been teaching for 5 years and have continued to assist in the development of students at KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have given students a number of experiences both within the UK and abroad e.g. Dorset, the Peak District and Iceland to develop and broaden students learning. I am also the Head of Public Services, a course studied at A Level. I mentor students who are also doing the Extended Project and Higher Project qualifications and have ran the Duke of Edinburgh Award in previous years.
I understand the importance of making learning fun, after all Geography is an incredibly sensual subject which allows lots of scope for experiments, outings and debate. I can adapt to the learning style of individuals whether this be visual, kinaesthetic or audial. I have differentiated materials and a range of exam style questions that can be provided for a wide range of topics.
