I studied BA (Hons) European Business Studies in France at the prestigious Ecole Superieure de Commerce at Bordeaux. After an international career for 10 years as an Export Sales Manager, I retrained in 2006 as a self-employed French teacher. I love the work I do - I am passionate about teaching and understand the importance of connecting with my tutees on a personal level so they build confidence and accuracy in learning French as a foreign language.
One to one, small group and business groups.
I specialise in pupils from Years 9 to 11, preparing for GCSE preparation sessions & adult tuitions only.
After an informal meeting either in person or over the phone, I will assess the client's current level of spoken and written French (if any). This will enable me to prepare my lessons accordingly and establish we should work on to achieve my clients goals.
My aim is to build confidence through knowledge in this subject in all the key areas (written, spoken, listening and reading) and to focus on the correct pronounciation from the start. If you have a pupil struggling with a particular area in their GCSE work, please contact me for some crash course sessions. I will be patient and understanding and will focus on any written grammar issues or listening/speaking practice at a level they will engage with.

Emma is really easy to be around. She has a happy disposition, is polite and professional and we're keepng her :)
The younger with GCSE- a very reluctant linguist now seems far less frightened of the subject. It was over the Christmas holidays and they both were reluctant to work at this time but both said they learned a great deal from their time with Emma and it was very worthwhile.
She kindly came to the house and was punctual and kept to time well. She was also very accommodating regarding times to suit them both at what would have been a busy time of year for her too.
