Information About Emma - Godalming tutor
This is how a referee rated Emma:
I am a compassionate, gentle and hard working teacher, with 12 years teaching experience, who prides herself in getting the best out of her students through ensuring that the children I teach enjoy their tutoring sessions.
I am an energetic, easy going primary school trained teacher with 12 years experience teaching in both the state and private sectors, where for the last two years I was assistant headteacher. I have a masters qualification in special needs education and have tutored children in both end of Key Stage SATS for years 2 and years 6. I have extensive experience of tutoring children for 11+ examinations to major London and Surrey day and boarding schools. The children I have tutored have 100% success rates of gaining entry into the 11+ school of their choice. Having been educated locally at St Catherine`s and growing up in Farnham, I have a good knowledge of all the local schools and I am happy to assist on any questions you may have about secondary school choice.
My tutoring sessions are tailored around the individual child and I plan each session weekly according to the areas in which the child needs support. I always email the parents a break down of what we have done and areas to cover for the following week. It is vital the children I teach are engaged and enjoy their sessions so they can reach their full potential. Confident and happy children are the key to success!
