I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of Leeds (2:1), and I went on to train as an actor at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) for three years. I have a Masters in Creative Writing from Goldsmiths University of London. Alongside my work as an academic tutor, I'm a writer and I offer coaching in communication skills.

I have over 8 years of teaching related experience. I have worked at the Oxford School of Drama, RADA and in sixth form colleges and schools across London.

Since leaving RADA, I have worked in leading theatre, film, television and radio productions. My roles included Desdemona in Othello at the Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre; Viola in Twelfth Night at the Exeter Northcott Theatre; Sheila in An Inspector Calls, an Australian tour; Roz in We Happy Few, at the Gielgud Theatre, West End; Eugenie in Vincent In Brixton, National Theatre tour; and Jackie in Hayfever for the Oxford Stage Company. My film and TV roles include; Shelburne, Ballet Shoes; Ian Fleming: Bondmaker; Henry VIII; England Expects; and Cry Babies for BBC Radio 4.

Tutoring Experience:

I teach English and Drama at GCSE, A Level and university level, and I tutor students auditioning for drama schools. I have experience of teaching the key texts on the syllabuses in classical and contemporary literature, including Shakespeare and poetry.

As Head of Courses at the Oxford School of Drama, I taught acting on the Masters, Degree and Foundation courses. I directed T.S Eliot’s The Waste Land for the Foundation year presentation. I have taught the Dramaturgy and Text class at RADA as a cover teacher while the permanent member of staff was on leave, exploring play-texts from the 18th century through to the present day. I have also taught Lamda Speech and Drama classes to pupils aged 17-21 at a sixth form college in Cambridge.
