Hello! My name is Elliott and I'm excited to have the opportunity to help you! After graduating from Oxford University studying Engineering, I went on to become an aerospace engineer at Rolls-Royce. During this time I was lucky enough to move to Singapore, where I got a real taste and passion for the south-east asian lifestyle. Since Rolls-Royce, I founded a technology startup called Mapsit, which was a social app to help people find their friends. More recently, I have been involved in two mega projects - one building the worlds first private members club based on mega yacht, and secondly building a private members club hotel in London. Most recently, I have set up a new business sourcing products in China.
I am immensely passionate about helping people and to me there is nothing more satisfying than helping someone achieve their goals. Something I do not have the opportunity to do much of in my day to day career. This is why I am tutoring! I have been lucky enough to exercise my mathematical and engineering skills throughout my career be it in engineering or finance, so I can safely say the skills have stuck! I hope that with my broad academic experience through engineering, and my varied career, I can offer more than just academic help, but apply my teaching to real situations. What always struck me was the shift from academic to working life and how different it really is!
In my spare time I love to play golf, play cricket and generally stay as fit as possible. I believe a healthy mind and body is always a good foundation for success. Look forward to hearing from you and please don't hesitate to get in touch!

I believe that in maths and science, the key to any problem is simplifying things as much as possible, and most importantly relating the concepts to real world situations so the student can understand and then apply to other situations. Quite often tutors help students learn how to answer questions, which leaves them in trouble if the question is re phrased. I believe that with the right core understanding of a concept, any question can be answered because they will have the right set up to solve the problem.
