Personal Description:

I graduated from Cambridge University with a 2:1 in English with Drama and Education Studies (BA). This degree included the study of the psychology and philosophy of Education, as well as the methods and practices of teaching. At school I passed A Levels in German, art and theatre studies with A grades. I have a wide variety of teaching experience- including foreign students and students with learning difficulties - and am now a full-time private tutor in London

Tutoring Experience:

I have extensive experience having been a full-time private tutor since October 2010; I have worked with over 100 students aged from 4 years old to adult, in a variety of subjects. I specialise in English and school entrance at 7+, 8+ and 11+, with a very high success rate. Between 2007-2009, I worked at Pilgrim's Language School, teaching English, drama and art to children and young adults, and have worked in numerous primary schools since 2005. I also have experience working with children with learning difficulties and disabilities, having worked at a primary school for pupils with special needs, and a summer school for disabled children, where the pupil:teacher ratio was 1:1.

Tutoring Approach:

I think the most important aspect of education is enjoying and engaging with what you are learning, so I aim to create as relaxed an environment as possible. My degree included an in-depth theoretical study of education, including how different individuals respond to different methods, so I understand that all pupils have unique learning requirements. My approach reflects the individual.
