I am currently the Assistant Headteacher for an inner city primary school. I have 6 years teaching experience and 3 years experience of tutoring in my local area. I am DBS cleared. I specialise in teaching children aged 3 - 8, children with English as an additional language and children with special educational needs. I am patient and enthusiastic, achieving excellent results by understanding the needs of every child as an individual.
I am currently the Assistant Headteacher, KS1 lead and Maths subject leader in a school in Leicester. I have taught children in the Early Years and Primary. I was the Literacy Coordinator in my previous school and therefore, I also specialise in teaching early reading, writing and phonics. I have successfully prepared children, working at and below the national standard, for the compulsory Year 2 SATs and Year 1 phonics screening assessment.
I am understanding, kind and passionate about education. I have access to a wide range of resources and can provide the use of printed worksheets and practical equipment for tutoring sessions. I also provide homework as well as appropriate material for examination practise.
