I am an experienced, qualified teacher who has taught a range of subjects and age ranges. As a parent of four, I know what a huge commitment education can be and I commit 100% to achieving the best possible grades for my students. I gained a BA (Hons) in Politics and Contemporary European Studies at Sussex before going on to do my PGCE at Brighton.
I hold my Secondary PGCE in Religious Education and have taught this subject, alongside Government and Politics at A-Level as well as History to GCSE. I am also an Assessor for the OCR and Edexcel exam boards and am therefore well versed in exam technique at GCSE and A-Level. I hold a further CELTA qualification and currently teach Academic English and Skills and lecture in Politics at Foundation Degree level.
I believe it is crucial to make a subject 'come alive' for a student as well as achieving the highest possible grades. I work with the student to focus on the areas they find challenging and take time to break down past papers. I do not use our one-to-one time writing but rather set that for homework so the time you pay for is utilised effectively.
