Patient and persistent with students, passionate about Russian language and culture, with solid linguistic background and constant interest in my students.
I have been teaching Russian Language to the adults, students and children over 14 years in London for more than 10 years. During that time, I have been teaching groups as well as individually from complete beginners to advanced level and helping students to prepare for various exams from GCSE level to university exams as well as for TRKI, official Russian test of Russian as a foreign language. I have experience of working with children with Russian parent(s) who can use every day Russian but struggle to read or write in Russian fluently. Happy to adjust lessons to suit personal aims and interests or to motivate students to learn Russian to pass the exam or simply to improve speaking skills.
Language is a communication tool so my first priority is to teach students to talk. Having said that, I still consider grammar an essential part of learning process and include sufficient drilling exercises in the course. To keep students interested, I try to introduce them to Russian culture and current life of Russia. In short, I make sure my lessons are fun and useful with students left with a feeling that they learn something new in every lesson.
Apart from that, I consider motivation and focus on the ultimate goal an important part of my teaching approach.
