I am 25 years old and have a wide range of experience and knowledge in special needs and early years childcare,development and education. I have many qualities that will assist me as your child's tutor for example; I am confident in my knowledge and ability in this area, I am patient and determined. I am observant and adaptable to individual needs. I am hardworking and reliable, I also have empathy as I myself had many challenges in my own education due to dyslexia and dyspraxia,which has given me a unique approach to helping others and a real drive to help each individual child to meet their own potenitial.

Tutoring Experience

During my education and employment I have worked in many education settings include being a leader in a nursery setting, working as a Teaching assistant and one-to-one in mainstream schools with children who have learning difficulties,working on subjects such as reading,spelling,writing,english language and numeracy.I have also had experience in special needs schools,working with children with a variety of special needs including ADHD,autism,downs syndrome,speech delay and cerebral palsy. I also work as a support worker and nanny for children including those with special needs to develop their learning using aids such as eye gaze communication,communication books and PECs .

Tutoring Approach

I have a holistic and individualized approach to teaching children. I like to get to know each child on a one-to-one basis assessing their current ability.Then concentrating on the areas that need the most support and development, applying an approach that will suit them best,that they find both fun and empowering.I have found this approach to be the most successful and offers the fastest improvements to the child's confidence and learning.
