Oxford University graduate with a Masters in Chemistry and current future trainee solicitor.
I am based in London and predominantly tutor students online via Skype (however, I am willing to travel to the pupil's home if it is not too far). I am currently a student on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) following which, I will then commence my training contract at an international law firm.
I play for a football team on a weekly basis and enjoy cycling, squash, golf and skiing. My hobbies also include playing chess, cooking and I enjoy travelling around the world!
I am very easy to get alongwith and am very open-minded having lived in seven different countries so far!
Please do get in touch if you would like lessons!
I have been tutoring since 2012 (I have recently joined First Tutors) and would say it is one of my passions. I enjoy teaching and have always got involved whenever/wherever I can.
I specialise in Maths and Science for GCSE, A-Level for all examining boards. I also have a vast experience tutoring 11+ and 13+ entrance exams and first year of university chemistry.
I do most of my tutoring online over **Contact Detail Removed** and have tutored students from all over the world. Past students include those from Russia, Indonesia, Italy, China, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and Hong Kong and the U.K.
I have a great success rate with my students, the majority of which, jumping up multiple grade levels.
Approach to Tutoring
My teaching method involves assessing the needs of the individual pupil. Everyone learns and thinks in a different way and I think it is important to appreciate this when teaching students. I also outline the lesson goal to help my student understand what they are aiming towards at each lesson. I am very organised in my approach to study and believe this helps in connecting ideas, especially in science. It is important to build a good rapport with the students and to create a sense of looking forward to the lessons.
I also set homework for students on the work covered during the lesson to make sure that they do self-study as well, which is something that is very important and is often missed out when hiring tutors.
Whether the student is struggling in class and need to increase his grade a couple of levels or whether the student just wants consolidation to make sure they get the top grade, I make sure their goal is reached!
I offer weekly one to two hour lessons building up to exams later on in the year or short-term, high-intensity tutoring for last minute exam revision if required. I am able to commit for the full academic year.
