Tutoring Approach

• GCSE and A-level music
• Music theory (ABRSM etc)
• Music technology, including Sibelius and Logic Pro
• Pop and classical music

My aims are to:
• understand the pupil's needs and goals, whether short or long term, from developing coursework to orchestration, counterpoint, producing parts or a professional quality score.
• develop each student's confidence
• develop each student's musical individuality
• build on each student's strengths to help them develop as a musician

I achieve my aims by:
• planning lessons to reach goals
• encourage students to discover and follow their interests in music
• provide practical exercises to develop different skills
• learn from others' work, including through scores and recordings
