Ed is fabulous! He is an extremely personable and engaging teacher whose patience and calm manner ensures that lessons are stress free and enjoyable. My daughter always looked forward to her lessons with Ed and even when she was at her most tired, never complained about going.

Her confidence in, and knowledge of maths has grown immensely over the past two years and as a result, rather than the predicted GCSE grade 4/5 she was looking at, she came out with an extremely solid grade 6, missing a 7 by only a few marks.

Employing Ed to tutor our daughter was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Thanks Ed, you’re a star!

Great teaching style, very patient, and very knowledgable about all topics. My kids have had huge improvements in their understandings of topics as well as their marks. Very prepared for lessons and great resources provided, and all topics explained with great examples. Huge support for homework help too. My child got a 9 in GCSE maths as a result!

He has been teaching my son online for a year, for GCSE Maths, and his confidence and capability has grown enormously.
My son has found Ed engaging, understanding and challenging. The biggest compliment I can pay Ed as a parent is that throughout, my son has never tried to make an excuse to skip a lesson (he is 16 after all), or had a negative word to say about how he has been taught.
I was slightly apprehensive about online tuition for such an important year but it's the best decision we made for his learning and confidence in Maths.

Ed is an amazing tutor - I cannot recommend him highly enough. My son was predicted Grade 5 EdExcel GCSE in his mock exam. He only began sessions with Ed in March and achieved a 6 in his GCSE - missing a grade 7 by one mark. Most importantly Ollie enjoyed working with Ed and his confidence in relation to maths really improved.

Feedback from my son Ollie: Ed is very clear and teaches very well. He plans the lessons carefully and I found going through past papers was incredibly helpful. He was able to help me and explain when I was confused about a topic. I would not have improved my grade without his help.

Ed tutored my son for a period of months leading up to his GCSE. He was extremely patient and supportive and was able to explain how to solve a maths problem in several different ways to find one that best suited my son. I am pleased to say that my son subsequently passed his GCSE and Ed was certainly pivotal to this outcome.

Ed has been tutoring my sister on a weekly basis for coming up to 5 months now and I am so thoroughly pleased with the sessions and her progress both academically and confidence wise.

My sister describes Ed as being very patient and calm; if the issue is not understood he will explain it in a different way until she does. He teaches well by breaking down problems into digestible formats - making things specific to the learner so that they can understand it in a way that makes sense to them. Something I frequently witness in their online lessons.

Ed is a strong communicator, and finds a good balance between making the learner feel comfortable and at ease to give things a go/try (without fear of getting things wrong) whilst pushing them to improve. He is honest with his feedback, not leading the student into a false comfort and instead constructively supports them through their development areas.

Ed is also well-organised and gives worksheets before and during lessons to maintain development. He is easy to work with and very accommodating, which is something I personally appreciate. He is the perfect tutor for my sister and I'm very glad we found him. Thank you Ed.

Our daughter was in year 9 and was struggling with both her confidence and grades in Maths. Ed was instrumental in getting her on track and In two years her grades went from 4’s to 7’s and her confidence soared. Ed quickly built a great relationship with her, listening and focusing on areas that she wasn’t as strong in… He is also extremely flexible often changing the days/times to accommodate us when needed. We are extremely grateful to Ed for his efficient and clear way of teaching. Would highly recommend him as a tutor.

Ed has tutored my son throughout lockdown to help him catch up with all the lost teaching hours. Ed has been professional, relevant and reliable. My son is taking his currently taking his GCSE ‘centre-assessments’ and is feeling so much more confident having been able to practice 1-1, he even said that it had an impact on his performance in class almost straight away. Ed, has been fantastic, not only in tuition of Maths and creating a deeper understanding for my 16 year old son, but also in the way he gets the student to think about ways of approaching the subject. Ed, tutored my son every week for a number of months right up to his GCSE's this summer. Through his teaching he enabled my son to achieve a fantastic grade. My son has an EHCP and needed extra help to get a pass in maths. Ed was brilliant and my son started to feel much more confident about maths. He got his GCSE results this week and passed maths! I would certainly recommend Ed.

Ed tutored my son Thomas from January 2019 to his maths gcse. He found Ed ready easy to work with and the sessions were organized, following past papers and then focusing on areas where this were unclear. What a guy Ed is. We can’t express how instrumental Ed was in getting Ollie form a mock fail to a GCSE pass in such a short space of time. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to improve their grade.

Ed helped my daughter between her mocks and actual GCSEs to secure the grade she needed in Maths for entry to sixth form. She also ended up exceeding her predicted grade in science which I am sure was partially due to technique/formulae taught. Ed was always professional and helpful. I highly recommend.

The tuition Ed provided my son with leading up to his GCSE Maths exam has been immeasurable. His approach made such a difference to my son's understanding of the subject. As a result Rico was able to improve his grade level and achieve a 7. Ed's tuition was a significant factor in helping him achieve this result and I would highly recommend him to any GCSE student.

My daughter was struggling with her maths and was only working at a grade 2. Ed started tutoring her just before Xmas 2017 until June 2018 when she sat her exams. He was patient and took so much time for her. He made her feel at ease and she always left her lesson on a high. She says that if she hadn't had Ed to help her she would have failed. Today she received her results and she got a 4 and more importantly the pass she needed. We can't thank Ed enough and would 100% recommend him

Ed is a nice guy but unfortunately he was not suitable for our needs.

Ed has been a perfect tutor for my son. From day one Ed understood my sons requirememts and used to cater each lesson according to my sons needs. Highly recommend Ed for GCSE Maths tuitions.
