I am an Architecture (With interior design) graduate, with extensive tutoring experience for over 9 years in subjects such as English, maths, Arabic, design, and various entry level examinations.
After graduating with a BA (Hons.) in Architecture, and in between various other roles within the Design industry, I tutored children of different age groups and abilities. Most of the tutees were sitting GCSE and A level examinations, primarily English Language and Literature.
I currently hold a strong teaching resume as as I have helped more and more students reach their maximum potential, particularly in English language and Literature examinations. My recent tutoring experience and online student/parent reviews are available upon request.
I have also tutored students who were entered in specialised examinations such as 7+, 11+ and 13+. I tutored them English, Maths and Verbal/ Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Furthermore, Having worked for Bonas Macfarlane ( one of London high end agencies) as well as other independent agencies, has further developed my teaching abilities and understanding of the current curriculum as I have prepared some of my students to enter some of the U.K's most prestigious schools.
successful tuition requires the teacher to plan out an approach tailored to each student's specific needs; Hence I always carry out initial assessments within the first session without making the pupil feel under pressure, to get an idea of what is required to aid their progression successfully.
Thus, as I tutor different age groups it is important that I adapt my teaching style. For example, with younger children, it is important to incorporate play whilst teaching them. I teach through songs, drawing, painting and film. Even online games can be helpful for all of the age groups when it is related to the material I am teaching.
I prioritise, put maximum effort into the little time that I have to complete a task, I am efficient and ambitious.This has had a positive effect on all my students as they know I am energetic, well-prepared for every session and I am dedicated to whatever task I am asked to complete. This has helped my students to become organised in response and put in effort in all their work.
