Personal Description:

I am currently a fifth year Medical student, studying at Imperial College London. I achieved a first class honours in the BSc Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Previous achievements include 11A*s at GCSE, alongside a Level 3 Diploma in iMedia; I also obtained all A* in my A levels, including Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Music as well as getting As in Further Maths and General studies AS levels. I love playing the piano, oboe and cor anglais, and enjoy playing in a multitude of orchestras. At university, I am keen to get involved in lots of societies and clubs, and I love mentoring peers and tutoring, to pass on my skills and help others flourish in their studies.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for four years in a variety of subjects, including piano, music theory and a host of academic subjects. I have helped countless students on their personal statements, especially medical school applications, as I understand the demands and requirements of a tailored personal statement according to university choices. I have had only positive feedback regarding my tutoring approach, and have helped countless students get to university through a successful personal statement. My medical knowledge is very strong, and I understand the demands of medical school life- this is essential for a medical school tutor. I have helped more than 15 students achieve their top university choice with both structured UKCAT/ BMAT lessons and effective interview practise. I can do weekend crash courses of these components.

Tutoring Approach:

My experience with personal statement writing is extremely great, allowing me to effectively pass on hints, tips and key advice to fellow medical student applications, and academic subjects. I think it's important for the student to understand where they are going wrong, and it is my job to help them get their head around areas of difficulty. I should also be there to motivate and inspire them to work harder, and achieve their goals more successfully. I am a clear, enthusiastic and passionate teacher- I love learning and teaching and this is reflected in my tutoring style.
