I am a qualified Mathematics teacher who has over 8 years in one-to-one tutoring. I studied Mathematics at the University of Leicester before completing my PGCE in secondary school Mathematics. My passion for teaching and Maths is immediately clear when I am tutoring and many students choose me over other tutors as I am able to create an enjoyable and efficient learning experience. I offer the first lesson as either half an hour free or the full lesson for half price - this will hopefully help in the fact that contact details have to be purchased on this website.

Tutoring Experience

I have experienced many forms of teaching, ranging from full classroom Maths lessons, summer schools, one-to-one, students with special needs, gifted students, small break out groups within schools and students with behaviour issues. The latter in particular enables me to convince even the most unwilling students to want to learn.

Tutoring Approach

My main bulk of teaching has occurred in the last 8 years as mentioned, however I have been teaching since the age of 17 (over 13 years ago) and I have found that my approach has been effective in getting students to learn and do work outside of the lesson. I also offer support outside of the scheduled lesson time via WhatsApp or email, which helps students when they need refreshing on how particular methods work. Homework is always set as practice is necessary to excel in Mathematics.
