Personal Description:

My name is Delyth and I am a Cambridge University English graduate (2003). I have been working as a tutor since 2006 alongside my career as a theatre maker and writer. I have worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and made many pieces of theatre, including recently for family audiences. Tutoring is a great job, and fits in brilliantly around my writing and directing work. I am now looking for new clients. I am passionate about literature and theatre, very well read, and culturally engaged.

Tutoring Experience:

Phonics and learning to read
Home schooling support
Primary level maths and English
Entrance Exams and 11+
GCSE English
A Level English Language and Literature
Writing workshops
Theatre Workshops

Tutoring Approach:

I love teaching and have had much success in increasing my pupils' confidence and achievement levels, be that in learning to read, preparation for entrance exams, general academic confidence, GCSE preparation or higher level critical analysis of texts. My approach is inventive, stimulating and kind, and I have made a real difference to all of my clients. I believe in taking the curse away from areas that students find difficult - finding new and inventive ways to engage them in their studies. My theatre work means that I know how to have fun, find the game, and bring about genuine engagement and results.
