Music Teacher in Farnham

I live in a cottage in South Farnham, with two cats. I have a number of interests, including walking, bird watching, choral singing and concert-going.

Tutoring Experience

I am a piano and theory of music teacher with many years’ experience. I have taught students from school years 3 to 13, and also adults. Until recently I was employed by the Surrey music service as a peripatetic teacher in schools, and have worked in this capacity since 1995. I have also taught privately during all of this time.

Tutoring Approach

I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing my students progress under my tuition. I always try to make the lessons fun, although students need to be aware that to achieve skill on an instrument a certain amount of work is required.

I prepare some pupils for the exams of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, but there is no pressure to take exams if a pupil does not wish to follow this route.
