Information About Dee - Ware tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Dee:
I am an experienced teacher who has taught French for more than 30 years and developed a range of approaches to support learning for my students as the curriculum has changed.
I have 2 children myself and have experience of the pressures young people experience both at home and at school.
I have a passion for teaching and believe learning a language should be enjoyable, thus ensuring students can see a purpose and application for their future life experiences - not simply a task to get through in the short term.
I speak fluent French and Spanish.
I have been a Head of Languages in 3 schools in London. Having then spent 25 years a Curriculum Deputy Head in a Secondary School, I am now teaching there part-time and have much experience and success in teaching Languages and also Psychology to Advanced level. I have tutored in French recently and taught in 4 Primary schools in Hertfordshire in 2015/2016 as a Languages outreach worker.
I have also had experience of Teaching Adult Conversational French in an Adult Education Centre in Haringey.
I am familiar with both Primary and Secondary approaches to Learning. My approach is child centred and supportive and I aim to ensure the anxiety is taken away from a childs experience of learning. I have one child in Year 7 and one just completed Year 11 (therefore understanding the pressures a child faces) and I recently did a further Maths qualification to be clear about current approaches and to remind myself about the challenges of learning. I believe a child should be able to enjoy their learning which in turns leads to not only success but also greater self-confidence.
