Gagandeep

I am a fully qualified maths teacher currently working in Glasgow City Council. I have been teaching for more than 8 years. I have extensive knowledge of National 3,4, 5 and Higher maths. I am also happy to help first and second year pupils who are following the Curriculum for Excellence in their schools. I have extensive experience of teaching maths and current up-to-date knowledge of the maths curriculum in Scottish schools because of my work with SQA.
I am a natural teacher with lots of teaching and tutoring experience covering several years in which I have taught many students privately. I have an expert knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and standards in Scottish qualifications at National 4/5 and Higher Level.

Tutoring Experience

Apart from my experience of secondary maths teaching, I have experience of working in primary schools. My course at Strathclyde University gave me opportunities to work in schools with different needs as part of my training. I can support children with basic numeracy difficulties and gaps in maths knowledge because of my extensive experience in teaching at all levels.
I have worked in the past with students who find learning challenging due to weak academic foundations. Most of my students have greatly benefited from my wealth of teaching experience.

Tutoring Approach

I work as a maths teacher and my job is to support young people with maths. I have a deeper understanding of common issues that make maths difficult for some children. Maths is perceived as a challenging subject and my aim is to remove this perception, and welcome maths as something we are working with in every day of our lives. My work in primary schools has helped me become an efficient tutor for children who struggle with basic maths. I will be approachable for any issues that arise with the work and will be expecting a full commitment from you in return.
