Personal Description:

I am a native French speaker. I came to Edinburgh to complete my Msc and PhD in Classics at the Edinburgh University. During that time, I started tutoring, both for the University of Edinburgh and privately. I enjoyed it a lot, and have decided to continue down that road. I teach French, Latin, Ancient Greek, Classical Studies/Civilisation and Philosophy. I am also an English-to-French translator, registered with Prestige Network.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 10 years of experience tutoring, with the University of Edinburgh and privately, as well as with a number of language schools: Mondial Languages, Capital Business Languages, Cactus and Simon & Simon. I have taught French, Ancient Greek, Latin, Classical Studies and philosophy. I have also received training through the University of Edinburgh "Effective Tutoring" course. I have always received excellent feedback and results from the students I taught!

Tutoring Approach:

I am passionate about sharing knowledge, and find that there is nothing more satisfying than tailoring a lesson to a specific student, in order for them to overcome particular weaknesses or problems. It is very important for me to get a very good understanding of the student's needs so I can adapt both the content and the method of the lesson. I am very flexible, and have no problem taking a different approach if the student so wishes.
