Information About Deborah - Oxford tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Deborah:
As an enthusiastic learner myself, I love teaching others, and helping them to achieve their best. I am particularly passionate about English Literature, and have enjoyed teaching it to all ages.
I have vast experience as a private tutor, and of teaching small groups and individuals in a Secondary and Primary School setting. I began tutoring students more than ten years ago, and currently teach at University, as well as having experience in identifying and adapting work to different learning difficulties. I work privately with all ages.
It is always best to hear from the student (and their parents, if applicable) as to what exactly they would like to learn, and what they are struggling with at the moment. I tailor my tutoring style to fit the student - whether they prefer discussion, question and answer, reading, note-taking, essay writing, or research - there are a variety of ways in which we can learn and enjoy learning. Adapting topics to suit a student's learning style is key.
I am experienced with students with educational difficulties or confidence issues, identified or otherwise. I have also much experience with students who want to achieve more, having worked at every academic level and in creative writing.
I offer weekly, hour-long appointments.
