I have a First Class degree in French Language, Literature and Contemporary Studies and teach both at KS3- KS5. I am currently offering private one-to-one tutoring and am flexible with regards to location and time.
Class Teacher MFL Secondary School (2008-2018)
Head of Department MFL (3 years)
I am a dynamic, flexible and committed teacher who is able to establish a very good relationship with students of all ages and ability. Whilst ensuring that each student feels valued, my aim is also to stretch and challenge and inspire my students, ensuring their learning experience is an enjoyable one. My lessons at all levels show thorough planning, good sequencing and reflect the demands of the new specification. As well as developing a rich range of contextualised resources and teaching strategies to help engage pupils in their learning, I additionally incorporate ICT into all my lessons and use Assessment for learning strategies, not only to inform future planning but also to encourage pupils to reflect on their own learning. My students’ GCSE results in French at Key stage 4 have been outstanding and are reflective of the teaching and learning that students have received.
