I have worked in industry with an engineering background then moved onto teaching in Secondary Education and Further Education.
Teaching a variety of levels and abilities and subjects when you discover that no topic is difficult and that learning any subject is about the person about the individual and how you engage them and present that topic to them.
From my own experience at Secondary school my progress was always directly connected to the abilities and communication skills of the teacher and their ability to convey the subject.
Maths at all levels to degree level
Electrical engineering level 4
Electronics to level 4
Physics to level 4
Computing & IT to level 4
Teaching and learning are human social skills be relaxed and engaging are important having a background in engineering I can and do relate subjects to the real world which is sometimes why individuals have difficulty as they are unable to see the point the purpose or the relevance of what they are learning and ths can cause their first block to making the progress they need.
Demonstrating that what they need to learn can be very useful in ways that they did not previously believe or understand can aid progress immensely.
